A traditional English pub/ restaurant set in the outskirts of Darwen countryside. The Crown & Thistle is steeped in history dating back to 1742. It is said the legendary Scottish hero Bonnie Prince Charlie stayed at the inn during his adventures up and down the country.

We have gone to great lengths to retain this historical ambiance along with retaining and renovating original features to create the perfect rustic setting.

We welcome you to come and sample our beef and ale pie, roast beef with all the trimmings or simply come for a drink or two in tranquil surroundings.
